Q2. Is there sewing involved?
A. No, not a stitch.
Q3. Do I need to use glue to fasten the fabrics?
A. No. You hold your fabric in place with your finger
as you tuck. Once it is tucked into the precision groove it holds by friction.
Some of the designs have googley eyes to put on when the block is completed.
This is done with regular white school glue.
Q4. Do I have to buy special tools?
A. All you need are scissors, pins (to pin your
patterns to your fabric) and something to tuck with. I offer a tucking
tool which has been made especially for doing this. It looks like a dental
tool with one end smaller than the other and I highly recommend it for
the more complex designs. A butter knife or even a Tupperware orange peeler
works well on the simpler patterns.
Q5. Can I make a mistake?
A. Be careful with the cutting. It is best to lay
out all pattern pieces needed for one fabric on that fabric before making
any cuts. If you lay them close together you will often have extra fabric
left in case you need to re-cut a piece. When tucking, if a fabric piece
is not fitting well, you simply pull it out with your fingers, reposition
it and tuck it back in.
Q6. How long does it take to complete a Quilt Magic Wall Hanging kit?
A. It varies with size but many kits can be completed
in an afternoon or two.
Q7. Can I buy just the foam board and use
my own fabrics?
A. Yes. The instructions, patterns and 'quilt by
number' diagram come with the board so that you have everything you need.
Q8. Is this a project suitable for children?
A. Children love these! The minis are a good place
to begin, (1-1 1/2 hr. project). Even children as small as 5-7 can do
this as long as they have an adult to help with the cutting, and it is
such a nice way to work with a small child. Older or more skilled children
enjoy these without help.
Q9. Can you get a certain design in any size?
A. No. Any one design only comes in the size shown
in the catalogue.
Q10. Do the fabric packs come with the exact
fabrics that are shown?
A. No. I try to keep the displayed photos
current. Often a minor fabric in a kit is replaced by another which is
similar. When the main fabric runs out a new kit is created.
Q11. How do you clean them?
A. The finished pictures can easily be dusted off
with a soft brush when necessary.
Q12. How do I hang my wall hanging?
A. Because the foam board is so light it takes only
a sturdy pin to hang it up (a T pin is excellent). Push your pin into
the top seam allowance from the front. The pin goes through into your
drywall and the head of the pin disappears into your seam allowance.
Q13. How do you ship and how much does it cost?
A. I use Canada Post expedited mail. The shipping
costs are as follows:
$0.00 - $20.00 = $8.50
$20.01 - $40.00 = $9.50
$40.01 - $60.00 - $10.50
$60.01 - $80.00 = $11.50
$80.01 + = $12.50
Product is usually shipped in 1-2 business days. Sorry, I no longer accept
US or international orders.
Q14. What types of payment do you accept?
A. I accept Visa, Mastercard, personal cheques and
PayPal invoicing. I usually contact by phone for Visa, Mastercard and
personal cheques. With the PayPal option, I will e-mail an invoice through
PayPal .
Q15. What about privacy?
A. Our privacy policy is simple. I will not share
your personal info or shipping address with anyone, and your credit card
information is shared only with my credit card processor.
Q16. What about returns?
A. If I have made an error on your order, I will

wants to return the goods they must be returned in a re-saleable condition
within the first 10 days of receipt. There is a 15% restocking fee. Please
